It’s now been over six months since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the UK and our entire office became virtual. Our office still remains closed, however we’ve continued to stay open throughout this period with the full team 100% working from home.

We have continued to pay our donations every Friday for virtual dress-down Fridays. Although, the dress-down clothes may have become more relaxed while working from home – with PJs, gym gear and vests all making an appearance.

It’s now been over three months since we entered into lockdown, and our office closed. We’ve continued to stay open throughout this period with our staff 100% working from home.

When we were in the office, every Friday we would dress down and pay a donation to charity. We’re delighted to say we have virtually continued to do so the past three months. Although, the dress-down clothes may have become more relaxed while working from home - with PJs, gym gear and vests all making an appearance.

As news of the Coronavirus continues to hit the headlines, we thought we'd update you with how we will continue to serve you.

The health of our staff and their families comes first, so we have advised them all now to 100% work from home.

We’re delighted to announce, from our generous staff donations from our “Dress Down” Fridays over the past few months, we have raised an incredible total of £1,067!

Instead of focussing in on one charity, we asked our advisers and case managers which charities meant the most to them. So, with that in mind, we are happy to announce the five charities that have been picked to share our fundraising total.

Our very own mortgage adviser Liam Anderson has recently returned from his trip to Nepal where he runs his charity Raise Funds For Nepal, which supports and maintains two orphanages called Happy Home.

Lifetime Planning had recently donated £500 to Raise Funds for Nepal through our weekly dress down Fridays. Liam assessed with their sister charity, INFO Nepal, on where the raised funds could be used.

On Friday 25th October, we took part in the #MacmillanCoffeeMorning, the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. Our team made some extremely tasty treats including - fruit scones, cupcakes, Mars bar cake, blueberry muffins, brookies, banana loaf, fresh fruit smoothies… the list goes on… there was LOADS.

A MASSIVE thank you to everyone that came into the office on Friday – clients and staff. Through our dress down Friday, Spot the Cake sweepstake and the generous donations for our staff’s home-baking, we raised an amazing £200!

Our visit to CHAS at Robin House – Spring Clean

Yesterday, we visited CHAS’s Robin House Hospice at Balloch to help revitalise their gardens. Having now been to the gardens it is clear that they have done a fantastic job! The gardens are peaceful, well maintained and possess a stunning view but it is the little things such as the Snow White and 7 Dwarfs statues, frog wellies used as plant pots, and the wind chimes that give it the personal touch… we even spotted a baby rabbit residing in the gardens.

We also met some of the many volunteers who help out at Robin house ensuring that the gardens are well maintained and evidently do a fantastic job.

Lifetime moving to new HQ

Yes. That’s right. We’re on the move.

This Friday (14th), we will be packing up our desks, leaving the Glasgow Business Park and heading to our new HQ in Glasgow City Centre, 207 Bath Street. The move will take place over the weekend of Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th, completed for Monday 17th. The business will remain fully operational throughout the move.

The continued growth and development of our business has resulted in us outgrowing our current office, where we have been based for the last 10 years. The new offices will give us a much larger floor space, allowing us to continue to grow.

On the Sunday 5th October, after months of training and determination, 20 members of our team took part in the Great Scottish Run 10K for CHAS (Children’s Hospice Association Scotland) aiming to raise as much money as possible.

Finally after all sponsorship money and gift aid was added together, we can announce that we raised a MASSIVE £5,016.62!! We’d like to thank everyone that took the time to donate and support. A big thank you to everyone that came down to watch and spur us on, on the day.
